Product recommendation - Digital Travel Scale

Imagine being at an airport and having to take things out of your suitcase because the airline won't accept an overweight bag. I have done this. Embarrassing right? In fact, I have even been known to start wearing several shirts, jackets etc in the airport, just so the case will come in below the weight limit.

Well, no more of that, thanks to a wonderful small digital travel scale.

It is small at 19x15x3 cm and weighs just 100gms. 23kgs (50lb) is the heaviest luggage can be when travelling on a plane.

This scale measures items up to 50kg (110lb) and is easy to use. I loop the cord through the handle of my case, and then notch it over the bar at the start of the cord. Next, press the scale on and lift the bag off the ground. Put the bag back down (remember, it is heavy, how heavy? You are just about to find out).

The scale keeps the display of the weight, so you don't have to try and read it when you are hoisting the bag in the air.

It takes up barely any space, and lives permanently in my suitcase. That way I always know where to find it. This simple gadget has saved me money, time and embarrassment.
