Welcome to day 14 of decluttering to free your home and your mind.

One of my favourite garments; my unmentionables, my knickers and underwear. (The picture above is not my underwear lol)
My mother always told me, wear clean undies in case you are in an accident. I imagined the ambulance personnel looking at my underwear, and yelling out, "we can't take this one, her knickers aren't transport worthy". Do we have any underwear that is untransport worthy?
Does it fit? There is no point in hanging onto underwear that is too small, too big, or just not comfortable. That bra that my boobs spill out of has to go. It feels uncomfortable, looks terrible and is just not doing the job it was designed for. Throw them out.
Is it in good repair? Has the elastic gone on the bra? Do any of our wearables have holes, loose threads, wires that stick out where they shouldn't? Throw them out.
Are we sorting by use? If there is one set of underwear that we always wear with a particular outfit, can we store it together? I store my workout socks in my workout shoes. Easy to find when I need them. One of my dresses needs one particular bra, I store these together. Again, easy to find.
Sort your undies by the KonMari method. Google "KonMari underwear" on youtube. It is fascinating, and has changed my whole knicker drawer to be awesome. Basically you fold them so that they stand up and when you open your drawer, you can see every single pair at a glance. It is so tidy, and it is obvious which ones you use the most, and which never get used.
My sock drawer is also organised this way. A quick word on socks, if you have a sock basket of mismatched socks, throw them out. If you haven't found the matching pair in a month, it probably won't be found. "But what if....." How often are we holding onto the what ifs? Hint: Odd socks make great handpuppets for kids too.
Do you absolutely love it? As these articles of clothing are next to our skin, they should feel fabulous. If you feel comfortable and love what you are wearing, you feel great.
Imagine ahead when all your underwear is perfect. Visualise perfection, then it is easier to aim for. We may not achieve it right away, but it gets us further towards the goal if we know where we are headed.
Reward yourself by wearing your favourite underwear after this cleanse today. You deserve it!
Please feel free to comment about any underwear cleanses that you experience, and enjoy the rest of the decluttering series.
Happy Travels!
